CropUp Ai
CropUp Ai ("we", "us") provides free AI prompt tools for brands at this website. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. The short version: most tools work without an account and store nothing; if you create a free account, we store the brand data you deliberately save; content you submit to a tool is processed by the Anthropic API to generate your result.
Information we collect
Account information
Creating an account is optional - every tool's free tier works without one. If you do sign up, our authentication provider Supabase stores your email address and a securely hashed password, or your Google account identifier if you sign in with Google. We never see or store your plain-text password or your Google password.
Data you save to your profile
Signed-in users can deliberately save tool output to their Brand Profile: brand visual foundations, prompts, prompt templates, content pillars, seasonal directions, brand audit reports, campaign briefs, and visual consistency reports. This data is stored in our Supabase database, linked to your account, and visible only to you - our database uses row-level security so no other user can read your rows.
Content you submit to tools
Text you type into a tool (brand details, campaign ideas, prompts, image descriptions) and images you upload for analysis are sent to the Anthropic API to generate your result. Uploaded images are processed in your browser and transmitted for analysis only - we do not store your images on our servers or in our database. Saved reports keep the written analysis, not the images themselves.
What we do not collect
We do not run analytics trackers, we do not sell data, and we do not build advertising profiles. We collect no data at all from visitors who use the tools without an account, beyond standard server logs kept by our hosting provider.
How we use your information
- To operate your account: sign-in, password reset, and showing you your own saved data.
- To generate tool results: your submitted content is forwarded to the Anthropic API and the response is shown to you.
- To pre-fill tools: your saved brand foundation can auto-load into tools so you do not retype it.
- To manage subscriptions: if you upgrade to CropUp Pro, our payment provider tells us your subscription status so we can unlock Pro features.
Third-party services
We rely on a small set of services, each receiving only what it needs to do its job:
- Supabase - authentication and database. Stores your account and anything you save to your profile. Supabase privacy policy.
- Anthropic - the AI behind every tool. Text and images you submit are sent to the Anthropic API (Claude) to generate your result, subject to Anthropic's privacy policy. Under Anthropic's commercial API terms, your inputs are not used to train their models.
- Netlify - website hosting and the serverless function that relays tool requests to Anthropic. Netlify keeps standard server logs. Netlify privacy policy.
- Lemon Squeezy - payment processing for CropUp Pro. Your payment details go directly to Lemon Squeezy; we never see your card number, only your subscription status. Lemon Squeezy privacy policy.
- Google Fonts - the site's typefaces are loaded from Google's font servers, which receive your IP address as part of serving the files.
Advertising (Google AdSense)
We plan to fund the free tools with Google AdSense ads in the future. No ads are served today. When AdSense launches, Google and its partners may use cookies to serve ads based on your visits to this and other websites, and this policy will be updated with the details. You will be able to opt out of personalized advertising at Google Ads Settings, and visitors in regions that require it will be asked for consent before any advertising cookies are set.
Cookies and local storage
We do not set tracking cookies. The site uses your browser's local storage for two things:
- Session tokens - if you sign in, Supabase keeps your session in local storage so you stay signed in between visits. Signing out removes it.
- Preferences - small values like which of your saved brand foundations is active.
When Google AdSense launches it will set its own cookies, as described above.
Data retention and deletion
Your saved data is kept until you delete it. You can delete individual saved items from your Brand Profile page at any time, and the Account Settings tab has a "Delete account" action that removes all of your saved data - profile, foundations, prompts, templates, pillars, directions, audits, campaigns, and consistency checks. Deleting the underlying login record is completed manually on our side; email us after deleting your account if you want written confirmation that everything is gone.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or erase your personal data. Everything we store about you is visible on your Brand Profile page, and the deletion tools above work without needing to contact us. For anything else - a data export, a correction, or a question - email us and we will respond within 30 days.
Children
CropUp Ai is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we will remove it.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes - for example when AdSense or new features launch - we will update this page and the "Last updated" date above. Meaningful changes will be noted at the top of the page.
